Position Summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing firm. The Senior Accountant will manage tax, audit, and other assignments with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes supervising and mentoring staff, solving problems independently, strengthening client relationships, and increasing team profitability. Depending on business needs, remote or hybrid work arrangements may be available—discuss options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities
  • Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight
  • Conduct engagement reviews and accept increasing responsibility
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions
  • Research business-specific topics, analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships
  • Enhance industry skills through training
  • Manage time efficiently to increase team profitability
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants
  • Other duties as assigned
  • If not already obtained, work toward CPA licensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 3-5 years in public accounting; CPA exam in progress or passed sections; CPA license preferred. Experience in areas like affordable housing, LIHTC, Opportunity Zones, renewable energy tax credits, and others is a plus but not mandatory.
