Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Associate (Audit & Tax) to support audit and tax engagements for manufacturing and distribution clients from our Denver office with flexible work arrangements. The role emphasizes preparing tax returns, ASC 740 provisions, and research, while delivering high-quality work and maintaining strong client communication.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of public accounting experience, a degree in accounting (BA/BS or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation), and

Qualifications

1–3+ years of professional public accounting experience.
BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.
Strong research, writing, and communication skills in English.
Experience with manufacturing and distribution clients preferred.
German language skills a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare Federal and state corporate, consolidated, partnership, and individual tax returns.
Prepare income tax provisions under ASC 740 for corporate taxpayers.
Conduct technical tax research on various Federal and state topics.
Perform audit engagements across manufacturing and distribution clients.
Develop and execute audit programs, including evaluating internal controls and designing test procedures.
Conduct technical accounting research across a variety of accounting issues.
Maintain active communication with team members and clients to manage expectations.
Prepare clear, concise work papers and related deliverables.
