Job summary

McClintock & Associates seeks an experienced Audit Supervisor – Financial Services to join our hybrid team in Bridgeville, PA. You will lead audit engagements, oversee staff, and ensure high-quality financial reporting for postsecondary clients.

You will mentor staff, review work papers, and coordinate with tax colleagues on potential tax impacts while delivering client-focused service and balancing workloads for the team. CPA required with 5–8 years’ accounting experience.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ supervisory experience.
• 5-8 years’ professional accounting experience.
• Experience overseeing projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial statements including drafting footnote disclosures.
• Provide technical oversight and tailor audit programs based on risk assessments.
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide solutions to accounting/auditing issues.
• Review testing of all audit areas completed by team members.
• Stay current on industry regulations and advanced accounting skills.
• Identify up-sell opportunities when appropriate for the client.
• Coordinate with tax department regarding entry impacts on tax liabilities and financial statements.
• Communicate questions, issues, and progress with Senior Manager/Director.

Responsibilities

The job responsibilities of the Audit Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

Accountability

• Responsible for technical oversight, tailoring and finalizing audit programs based on risk assessments to test all audit areas
• Oversee preparation of financial statements including the drafting of footnote disclosures
• Communicates effectively with clients and provides solutions to their accounting and auditing issues/questions
• Review testing of all audit areas completed by team members on the audit
• Stays current on industry regulations, accounting knowledge and, technical skills
• Delivers high-level client service and looks for up-sell opportunities when it’s right for the client
• Coordinate with tax department regarding potential impact of entries on tax liability and projections, and financial statements
• Effectively communicate questions, issues, and job progress/status with Senior Manager/Director
