Job summary

Cherry Bekaert in Orlando, FL is seeking an Audit Staff to work on diverse audit engagements under supervision. You will engage with clients, communicate with in-charges, and develop technical accounting skills while auditing financial statements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, CPA eligibility or certification preferred, and a GPA of 3.0+; willingness to travel and occasional overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Masters preferred CPA certification or eligibility to pursue CPA.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent travel and some out-of-town trips.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements with clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
