Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC is seeking an Audit Staff in the United States (New Mexico) to serve clients across industries and develop technical accounting skills through audits of financial statements.

You will communicate with project in-charges and clients, prepare workpapers and audit checklists, and gain experience in business writing while preparing financial statements with clients. Some travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Masters preferred or eligible to pursue CPA.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
• Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime during busy cycles.

Responsibilities

• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Develop technical accounting skills while performing audits of financial statements.
• Prepare audit checklists and adjust journal entries.
• Gain business writing experience while preparing financial statements alongside clients.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
• Perform other essential duties as needed.
