The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Manager of Audit Services to lead multiple assurance engagements, improve risk management and governance processes, and support the Director in strategic planning. The role requires strong leadership to guide audit teams, ensure adherence to standards, and drive continuous improvement across UTMB Health.

Responsibilities include managing audits, tracking recommendations, and coordinating with executive leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience, including 3 years internal audit and 3 years leadership.
• CIA or CPA required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage multiple audits and consulting engagements.
• Oversee tracking and reporting on audit findings and recommendations.
• Build relationships with organizational leadership and cross-departmental teams.
• Assist in risk assessments, audit plan development, budget planning, and staff development.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain quality assurance processes.
• Stay updated on emerging risks and regulatory changes.
• Support special projects and initiative work.
• Provide backup for transaction approvals and admin tasks.
