Job summary

Weinstein Spira & Company seeks an Audit Senior in Houston to lead engagement budgets and timelines while coordinating with clients and engagement managers. The role requires 2-4 years in public accounting and CPA exam eligibility.

A strong communicator, you will guide staff, mentor junior auditors and uphold firm standards. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence at least two days per week, and a compensation package including paid time off, flexible work arrangements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum 3.0 GPA; 3.50+ preferred
• Completion of all requirements to sit for the CPA exam
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• 2-4 years of Public Accounting experience in financial statement auditing, preferably with a Big4 or mid-market firm

Responsibilities

• Maintain control over engagement budgets and timelines
• Maintain communications with client, staff and engagement managers
• Complete assignment/engagement for manager review
• Supervise, coordinate and review the work of Audit Staff
• Assist in developing staff expertise by providing training, feedback and on-the-job mentoring
• Resolve questions and issues raised during the course of an engagement
• Leverage various tools, resources and methodologies to create efficiencies and solve problems
• Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, the Firm’s Quality Management Guidelines and independence requirements
