Job summary

A growing public accounting firm in Puerto Rico is seeking an experienced Audit Senior Associate to join their team. This position involves planning and executing audit engagements, preparing financial statements, and supervising staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 2-4 years of public accounting experience, CPA license preferred, and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

Work Location

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit engagements in accordance with U.S. GAAS
• Prepare and review audit workpapers and financial statements
• Perform audit testing, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations
• Coordinate and perform inventory observations
• Supervise, train, and review the work of audit staff and interns
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and discuss audit matters
• Identify audit issues and research applicable accounting guidance
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and deadlines
• Assist partners and managers with special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• 2–4 years of public accounting audit experience (required)
• CPA license or active CPA candidate (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software
