As an audit senior, you will serve as the face of the firm to external organizations, build strong client relationships, lead local staff with consistent communication, and take ownership of fieldwork.
Lead audit fieldwork on financial statement and single audit engagements, including directing staff, reviewing workpapers, and keeping work on budget and on timeline
Own sections of the audit from planning through reporting under firm leadership review
Finalize financial statements and related reporting, including footnotes, and recommend improvements to internal controls
Evaluate, update, and document audit procedures; maintain clean workpapers; and prepare clear findings and conclusions
Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and leadership for local staff, including face‑to‑face guidance during in-office days
Communicate engagement status, needs, and sensitive client matters clearly and consistently across email, phone, video, and in person
Use modern audit research and AI tools thoughtfully as brainstorming and documentation aids while staying in the judgment seat on risk assessment, testing, and conclusions
Manage multiple projects at once with strong organization and cost‑conscious use of time
3-4 years of public/firm experience; already functioning as a senior or immediately ready to be one
Non-profit audit experience strongly preferred; comfort with financial statement audits and single audits is a plus

Live within about three hours of Columbus and be in the office roughly two days per week
Strong workpaper quality, professional skepticism, and ownership of testing and conclusions
Comfortable with QuickBooks and standard audit/research tools; willing to use AI tools thoughtfully without letting them replace judgment
Self-starter who thrives in a boutique pace, follows process, learns quickly, and is open to coaching
Base salary: $80,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
