Job summary

Hazlewoods in Bristol is looking for an experienced audit professional to lead the audit planning and fieldwork for client portfolios. You will ensure compliance with standards and help manage a team by mentoring and motivating them.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, experienced in a UK audit team, with strong project management and supervisory skills. The company offers various benefits including 25 days annual leave, health benefits, and a clear progression structure.

• Experience working within an Audit team in a UK accountancy practice.
• Good project management techniques including evaluative and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Control the audit planning and fieldwork for a client portfolio, gaining exposure to the entire audit process
• Deliver high quality, fully compliant financial statements
• Review work of team members to ensure audit objectives have been met
• Use in-depth knowledge of clients to anticipate and address challenging, complex and interesting issues.
• Assist in the management, motivation, mentoring and development of a team

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA fully qualified
• Experience working within an Audit team in a UK accountancy practice.
• Good project management techniques, including decision making ability, analytical skills, time management, organisational, evaluative and administrative skills.
• Well-developed supervisory skills, e.g. coaching and motivation of audit assistants
