Job summary

Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company in Dallas seeks a detail-oriented Grant & Contract Billing and Receiving Specialist to manage invoicing for federal grants and contracts, ensure alignment with contract terms, incurred costs, and funding limits.

You will support audit-ready documentation, track grant drawdowns, receivables, and revenue recognition, and collaborate with Contracts and program teams to validate billing inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of government billing or contract administration experience.
• Knowledge of federal contract types (cost-reimbursable, T&M, firm-fixed-price, milestones).
• Experience using government invoicing systems such as WAWF/iRAPT.
• Familiarity with grant accounting and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices per contract terms for cost-reimbursable, time-and-materials, firm-fixed-price, and milestone-based agreements.
• Submit invoices through government systems, including WAWF/iRAPT and agency-specific portals.
• Track contract funding ceilings, level of effort, and periods of performance; identify and raise limitations of funds/cost thresholds.
• Manage grant drawdowns and prepare required financial reports.
• Monitor unbilled receivables and accounts receivable aging; support timely follow-up and collections.
• Reconcile billed amounts to incurred costs and investigate billing discrepancies.
• Partner with Contracts, Program Managers, and project teams to validate billing inputs and supporting documentation.
• Support revenue recognition activities and maintain audit-ready billing records.
