Description

Cherry Bekaert, with over 75 years of experience in Accounting and Advisory services, is seeking a professional to join as an Audit Manager in Professional Practices, supporting our full assurance practice.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Research and resolve complex audit and accounting issues.
  • Create templates and resources to support the firm’s audit methodology, including standardization and implementation of new standards.
  • Communicate between audit teams and leadership to meet firm and engagement objectives.
  • Oversee firm objectives and projects, managing resources to meet goals.
  • Participate in quality monitoring, including internal and external inspections.
  • Assist in integrating acquired firms into our audit processes and methodology.
  • Guide audit teams to identify engagement risks and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Develop technical specialization areas and serve as a technical consultant.
  • Build external relationships for long-term business development.

What You Need For This Role

  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of audit and accounting standards.
  • 5+ years’ experience in public accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification and active license.
