Job summary

Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm, is seeking an Audit Manager in our Avon, Indiana office. The role involves supervising staff, managing multiple audit engagements, and coordinating with partners and clients. Some overtime is expected during peak seasons.

The Audit Manager will supervise staff, train young professionals, and participate in firm-wide audit practices while traveling to client sites as needed. Opportunity for advancement to Partner level exists.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with at least 5 years of audit experience in a supervisory capacity within a regional or national public accounting environment.
• Organization, communication, technical, accounting, and auditing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple engagements and teams.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients, prospects, and colleagues in a professional manner.
• Experience supervising engagement team members and instructing them on completing tasks.
• Ability to travel to client sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach staff to be more effective auditors.
• Research and share information on new pronouncements and emerging accounting and audit issues.
• Analyze and evaluate data and provide resolutions to complex problems.
• Provide strategic and tactical accounting advice and recommendations to clients.
• Consult with clients on various internal accounting related transactions.
• Train junior staff on audit and organizational procedures.
• Provide review of work product and performance.
• Be willing and able to serve multiple client engagements concurrently.
