640 UHY Advisors Great Lakes, Inc. is seeking an Audit Manager to lead planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements. You will oversee teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to strategy and quality control.

The role requires CPA certification, 5–8 years of audit experience in a CPA environment, and strong leadership capabilities. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5 – 8 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• CPA license is required; equivalent certifications are required for IT audit.
• Responsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirement.
• Specific positions may require additional industry or specialization certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of audit professionals in planning, executing, and concluding engagements.
• Serve as primary client contact for audit engagements and provide strategic insights.
• Collaborate with partners to develop comprehensive audit strategies addressing client risks.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and disclosures through review of workpapers.
• Coach and develop audit staff, conduct evaluations, and identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure engagement quality via documentation, reports, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify opportunities to expand client base and firm services.
• Supervise subordinate team members and manage travel as needed.
