Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking an Audit Manager in Columbus, OH to lead audit engagements and advise clients with a focus on quality and growth. The role blends leadership, technical accounting, and client service in a hybrid work environment.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and teams while delivering practical business recommendations to executives across manufacturing, distribution, construction/real estate, and professional services sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive audit experience, preferably within public accounting.
• Experience leading multiple audit engagements from planning through delivery.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills with executives and stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring, supervising, and developing team members.
• CPA preferred, but candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple audit engagements from planning through completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, staffing, and overall project performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by identifying risks, solving challenges, and providing practical business recommendations.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, and engagement deliverables for accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Coach, mentor, and develop audit professionals while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
• Partner with firm leadership to support practice growth, strengthen client relationships, and identify opportunities for expanded services.
• Work closely with our corporate clients in the manufacturing, distribution, construction / real estate, and other professional service industries.
