Job summary

Clark Schaefer Strategic HR is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead multiple engagements in Columbus, OH, from planning to completion. You will manage budgets, timelines, and team performance while maintaining client relationships and high-quality deliverables.

The role requires 6+ years of audit experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong technical knowledge. CPA is preferred but not required, with opportunities to pursue certification and advance within a respected CPA

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of audit experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA preferred but not required; candidates pursuing CPA certification are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and risk assessment.
• Experience leading audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and ability to mentor staff.

• Coordinate with clients ensuring work meets standards and expectations.

• Partner with leadership on practice growth and client service initiatives.
• Balance technical audit work with client communication and leadership.
• Support firm-wide initiatives as needed.
