The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Transportation seeks an Audit Manager to oversee liquid fuels funding programs, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and statewide financial oversight. Qualifications

  • One year experience as an Audit Specialist Supervisor, Auditor Supervisor, or Audit Specialist 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work including or supplemented by one year of supervisory accounting or account auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting, and three years of auditing experience including or supplemented by one year supervisory accounting or accounting auditing experience.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position assists municipalities in administering liquid fuels funds by providing leadership and oversight for financial consulting programs that support accurate reporting, compliance, and statewide monitoring activities within the agency. As an Audit Manager, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Oversight: Manage liquid fuels training, monitoring, and consulting activities to support proper fund use across local governments
  • Audit Leadership: Guide the audit review and resolution process to ensure findings are addressed and corrective actions are completed
  • Compliance Evaluation: Assess municipal and county fund utilization for adherence to regulations and established procedures
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal staff, state agencies, and local officials to resolve issues and support program goals

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • One year experience as an Audit Specialist Supervisor, Auditor Supervisor, or Audit Specialist 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work including or supplemented by one year of supervisory accounting or account auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
