Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC is a CPA and health and human services consulting firm. We seek a senior manager to lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables across government-sponsored health care programs. The role requires deep Medicare/Medicaid knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with national travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Advanced CPA certification is preferred.

Job description

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Provide strong leadership on audit engagements, effectively supervising staff to provide quality deliverables within the defined deadlines
• Assist in completing project deliverables and manage flow of audits through required process
• Provide quality assurance reviews on audit and attestation working papers and reports completed by other team members
• Schedule field audit dates with providers
• Perform final review of audit fieldwork
• Perform various assignments relating to health care reimbursement
• Coordinate staffing on projects to meet strict deadlines
• Provide high level technical knowledge and training to staff
• Mentor staff by delivering timely feedback
• Maintain security of and confidentiality of all protected health information
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree CPA certification
• At least 6 years' of related experience
• Minimum 3 years' of supervisory experience
• Must have experience leading audit engagements
• Demonstrated high level of expertise with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be able to learn a significant amount of information in a short time-frame
• Effectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with project management (Pro Systems FX) software preferred
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
