Talent Group partners with a respected public accounting firm in California's Central Valley to identify a Senior Audit & Assurance Accountant or Audit & Assurance Manager. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and building strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA licensure in progress, and strong GAAP knowledge.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys leading client engagements, mentoring staff, and building strong client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Lead audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP and professional auditing standards.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and provide meaningful recommendations to clients.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and communicate audit findings professionally.
• Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Participate in business development and contribute to firm growth.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing CPA licensure).
• Previous public accounting experience in audit and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Experience managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with audit software, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting technologies.
• Experience working with agribusiness, construction, real estate, or closely held businesses is a plus.
