Job summary

PwC South Africa is offering an Audit Intern position to gain hands-on exposure to financial statement audits within the Assurance practice. You will support teams, apply PwC’s methodologies, and develop a strong foundation in audit processes and client interactions.

You should be pursuing or have completed an Accounting degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment. Travel up to 20% is possible.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's in Accounting.
• GPA of at least 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for CPA in your intended state of employment before starting full-time at PwC.
• Client service intern positions are entry-level; typically third year of a four-year degree or fourth year of a five-year program.

Responsibilities

• Support audit teams in financial statement audits and GAAP/GAAS application.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide management insights.
• Document audit processes and findings for organized records.
• Learn and apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and suggesting improvements.
• Use data analysis to support audit processes and improve reporting quality.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors and client interactions.
