Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking an Audit Intern to join our Assurance practice and gain exposure to financial statement audits and client support initiatives. You will learn PwC’s audit methodologies in a dynamic learning environment, perform basic tasks, and observe professional work practices to build a strong foundation in financial reporting.

You will contribute to GAAP/GAAS tasks, collaborate with teams, and develop commercial awareness while handling different assignments and challenging

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 on average across courses.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and gain exposure to auditing methodologies.
• Participate in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with standards.
• Assist in analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and insights.
• Document audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Learn GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contribute to evaluating internal controls and improvement areas.
• Utilize data analysis to support the audit process and enhance reporting quality.
• Observe experienced auditors to develop foundational audit practices and client interactions.
