Job summary

DOZ in Austin is offering a full-time, in-office Audit Internship from January through mid-March. Interns work about 55 hours per week, with peak weeks up to 65 hours.

The program provides onboarding, mentoring at three levels, and direct exposure to the affordable housing and community development sector. You will participate in all audit phases, assist in completing over 35 audits, and draft reports for senior review while developing critical-thinking and analytical skills in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Accounting major pursuing CPA exam requirements.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course preferred.
• Must be able to take spring-semester leave and commit to 55+ hours per week.
• Reliable transportation to the office.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding and training before client engagements.
• Participate in all audit phases: planning, fieldwork, financial statements prep.
• Collaborate with audit team to complete 35+ audits from start to finish.
• Prepare draft audit reports for senior review.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and gain industry experience.
• Regularly meet with your in-charge to review progress and skills development.
