Job summary

BDO USA, LLP hires an Intern for the Assurance practice to apply academic knowledge and develop organizational skills within a dynamic client environment. You will learn problem solving, fact-finding and work alongside experienced team members who provide coaching and growth opportunities.

You will gain hands-on exposure to audit processes, GAAP/GAAS standards, and BDO methodologies while contributing to client engagements and team discussions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a master's degree in Accounting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in structured on-the-job training and becomes familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Familiarizes with BDO audit methodology to assist with audit processes.
• Provides support functions to the audit staff during engagement.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties about audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and responds to team members' views.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings.
• Other duties as required.
