BDO USA, LLP is offering an internship in our Assurance practice. You will begin applying your accounting education and organizational skills to support a dynamic client base while receiving coaching from experienced team members.

This hands-on role helps you develop critical relationships for career success. Responsibilities include training on GAAP/GAAS, assisting with audits, documenting work, and preparing reports using BDO templates.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Accounting, required.
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.
• Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with GAAP and GAAS.
• Becomes familiar with BDO's audit methodology to assist with audit stages.
• Provides support to audit staff during engagements.
• Communicates with clients' customers, creditors, banks and related parties regarding audit issues.
• Prepares and documents work in working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contributes ideas to audit teams and responds to team members' views.
• Completes an assigned accounting or audit research project and presents findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
• Other duties as required.
