Job summary

RSM is seeking interns to work with middle market clients across industries, gaining exposure to audit engagements and client service. You'll rotate on multiple team engagements, understand client needs, and contribute to testing and financial statement drafting as part of the internship program.

Ideal candidates have completed 90 credit hours, are pursuing a BA/BS with an accounting major, and are prepared to travel to client sites; a 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed
• Working towards a BA/BS degree or equivalent
• Accounting major required or preferred
• Travel to assigned client locations is required with reliable transportation
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred (not mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, GAAP/GAAS issues
• Developing understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools
• Assessing risks and evaluating client internal control structure
• Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls
• Drafting financial statements under prescribed formats
