Job summary

RSM is seeking interns to work with leading and mid-size clients across industries in a role focused on accounting and audit support. You will engage on multiple engagements, learning the RSM audit approach, and developing practical skills in testing controls and drafting financial statements.

The position requires completion of 90 credits, pursuit of an accounting degree, and travel to client locations. A GPA of 3.0+ is preferred, with accommodations as needed.

Qualifications

• Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and GAAP and GAAS issues
• Developing an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools
• Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure
• Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
• Drafting financial statements under prescribed formats
