Job summary

RSM is seeking an intern to work with a range of clients across industries, gaining hands-on experience in audit engagements and financial statement drafting. You will learn the RSM audit approach, assess internal controls, and perform substantive testing while balancing academic commitments.

Travel to assigned client locations is required, with transportation arrangements supported. A 3.0 GPA is often preferred, and eligible candidates are pursuing a BA/BS in accounting with 90 credit hours

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed.
• Working towards B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university.
• Accounting Major.

Responsibilities

• Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Developing an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
• Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure.
• Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Drafting financial statements under prescribed formats.
