Job summary

Cherry Bekaert offers an Audit Intern opportunity to gain exposure to the public accounting profession and build a foundation for your career. You will work with multiple supervisors, apply accounting knowledge with Firm technology, and shadow audit professionals of all levels.

You will participate in team-building and training initiatives, present on a project, and attend social functions. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled juniors or seniors in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 preferred, not required.
• Proficient with computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel.

Responsibilities

• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Audit professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team building and training initiatives.
• Participate in and present on a marketing or research project.
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings.
