Job summary

Cagayan State University in the United States is seeking a motivated accounting student to join our internship-like full-time program. You will respond to client requests, gather information, and support audit, testing, and GAAP-related tasks under supervision.

Work will include analyzing data, identifying efficiency opportunities, preparing financial statements, and communicating findings to engagement leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, including completion of corporate or individual taxation class
• Above average accounting knowledge demonstrated by college GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher
• Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation
• Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data
• Ability to think independently and make sound decisions based on education and experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and staff
• Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, follow through on requests, and meet deadlines
• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm associate requests promptly and professionally
• Gather necessary information from clients to complete required documents
• Use data analysis skills to identify useful information and support recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures following firm and professional standards
• Communicate with engagement leaders about open items and testing issues in a timely manner
• Prepare or review financial statements, footnotes, management reports, and other engagement outputs
• Develop technical competency with GAAP related to assigned product lines
