Job summary

PwC in the United States is seeking an Audit Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial statement audits and client support within our Assurance practice.

You will learn PwC's audit methodologies, perform basic tasks, analyze financial data, and assist teams while observing professional work environments. Travel up to 20% may be required as you develop foundational knowledge in GAAP and GAAS and build a pathway toward CPA eligibility.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Before starting full-time, meet educational requirements to sit for CPA exam in intended state of employment.
• Internship candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree or fourth year of a five-year program.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit teams in financial statement audits and gaining exposure to auditing methodologies.
• Participating in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and standards.
• Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Documenting audit processes and findings to maintain organized records.
• Learning and applying GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborating with team members to monitor financial trends and assess risk factors.
• Contributing to evaluation of internal controls and identifying areas for improvement.
• Utilizing data analysis to support the audit process and improve reporting quality.
• Observing and learning from experienced auditors to understand client interactions.
