Job summary

Withum invites accounting majors to join the Audit team as part of the November 2027 class. Gain hands-on experience in financial statement audits, internal controls, and client engagements across industries.

You will work under a Manager or Partner, analyze records, evaluate controls, and prepare workpapers, while using audit software and data analytics to improve quality. Strong communication and team skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Preferred: 150 credit hours and internship experience in public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and GAAS compliance.
• Prepare detailed workpapers supporting audit procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Contribute to larger audit engagements and take ownership of smaller ones as skills grow.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Withum is seeking accounting majors graduating in the upcoming academic year to join our Audit team as part of the November 2027 class. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced audit professionals and gain hands‑on experience infinancial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across a broad range of industries.

What You'll Do:

As part of a team supervised by a Manager or Partner, you may:

• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements

• Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and compliance with GAAS through inquiry, observation, and review

• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures

• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data

• Contribute to larger audit engagements and take ownership of smaller ones as your skills grow

• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues

• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency

• Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned

The compensation for this position ranges from $62,000 to $90,000 based on location. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation,Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
