Withum is seeking accounting majors graduating in the upcoming academic year to join our Audit team as part of the November 2027 class. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced audit professionals and gain hands‑on experience infinancial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across a broad range of industries.
As part of a team supervised by a Manager or Partner, you may:
Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements
Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and compliance with GAAS through inquiry, observation, and review
Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures
Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data
Contribute to larger audit engagements and take ownership of smaller ones as your skills grow
Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues
Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency
Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm
Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills
Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with audit software is a plus
Ability to work in one of our office locations
Pursuant to the San Francisco FairChance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
The compensation for this position ranges from $62,000 to $90,000 based on location. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation,Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
