Job summary

KPMG is seeking an Associate, Audit Data Engineering Services to join our Audit and Assurance team in the United States. The role involves data acquisition, transformation, and analysis to enable high-quality audit outcomes using tools like Alteryx, SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Power BI.

You will collaborate with audit teams and client tech teams to plan and execute analytics for audits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related IT field
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
• Experience with SQL Server, MSBI and cloud tech (Azure, Databricks) for BI, data science, automation and visualization

Responsibilities

• Data acquisition, movement, transformation and analysis to enable high-quality audit outcomes
• Utilize Alteryx, SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI in audit solutions
• Communicate technical implications of D&A capabilities to audit teams
• Identify scope of D&A capabilities for audits and review analytic results for consistency
• Collaborate with client tech teams to understand ERP landscapes and document data processing workflows
• Support high-quality technology-enabled audits within a high-performance culture
