Job summary

Pilot Company invites a student intern to join an in-person audit support role at the Knoxville headquarters. You will review policies, assist with store audits, and apply classroom knowledge to real corporate processes.

You will analyze data with Excel and Tableau, gain exposure to auditing techniques, and may lead a small project that benefits the organization. This full-time internship will run with dates to be determined.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business major; interest in process or industrial design is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel; basic understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau is beneficial.
• Experience with general audit and sampling techniques is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders at various levels, attention to detail, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities.
• A collaborative and reliable team player.
• Participation in organizations such as Beta Alpha Psi or leadership roles (e.g., group treasurer) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in audits by reviewing company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies.
• Support store audits, which may involve travel with all costs covered by Pilot Company.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-life corporate processes and policies.
• Perform data analysis using tools such as Excel and Tableau to conduct audit and sampling techniques.
• Independently lead a project that positively impacts the organization.
