Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a highly motivated Internal Audit Intern for summer 2027 in Westchester, IL. You will support audit execution, document processes, and leverage data analytics to identify risks across the organization.

You will work with cross-functional teams, gain exposure to SAP & Concur, and develop analytics-based procedures for compliance and testing in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or similar with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term
• On-site in Westchester office at least 3 days per week
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Experience or coursework in data visualizations tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong detail orientation, organization, and multi-tasking ability
• Desire for continuous self-improvement and openness to new approaches

Responsibilities

• Assist with audit execution under supervision
• Document business processes and controls
• Perform audit testing procedures and evaluate supporting evidence
• Prepare audit workpapers
• Leverage data analysis and data mining to identify patterns, anomalies, and risks
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve internal controls over financial reporting
• Support analytics-based procedures for compliance and audit testing
• Exposure to SAP and Concur Enterprise systems
