Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking an Audit Intern in the United States. The role supports reviewing and auditing client transaction cycles, researching audit issues, and communicating results to senior staff.

You will work closely with teams, travel to client sites as needed, and participate in multiple engagements across industries. The position is aligned with Grant Thornton’s hybrid work model, requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a GT office or client site, with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel to client sites.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and project management.
• Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review and auditing business transaction cycles including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
• Research audit issues using electronic databases and review-tracking financial information.
• Identify, assess, and inform senior staff of audit-related issues.
• Collaborate with client teams while building rapport and strong client relationships.
• Work closely with staff, managers and partners on all project phases.
• Engage in a variety of client engagements across industries.
• Network with peers and participate in mentorship discussions.
• Participate in team-building activities and community outreach.
• Other duties as assigned.
