Job summary

Grant Thornton is hiring an Audit Intern to support engagement teams in reviewing financial cycles and audit procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration, analytical rigor, and client-facing learning within a hybrid work model requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week.

Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours, and travel to client sites.

  • Demonstrated project management skillset including planning and time management.
  • Ability to work in a complex team environment and travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and auditing business transaction cycles including cash, treasury, capital expenditures, and other income and expenses.
  • Investigating audit issues using electronic databases and review-tracking financial information.
  • Identifying and informing senior staff of audit-related issues.
  • Collaborating with client teams to build rapport and strong client relationships.
  • Working with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the project.
  • Engaging in various client engagements across industries.

  • Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Interns also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period.
