Job summary

CLA in Massachusetts is seeking an Audit Associate to join our State and Local Government practice in Southern New England offices. You will perform detailed audits, reviews, and compilations for government clients, and communicate progress to supervisors.

We seek a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, with 1 year of audit experience preferred and CPA eligibility a plus. SLG experience is a plus; MS Office proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred; internship acceptable.
• CPA or eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform detail work of audits, reviews, and compilations for clients.
• Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Complete assigned portions of engagements with accuracy under time constraints.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely wrap-up.
• Audit complex areas and prepare financial statements; may direct small audits.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure communication and service delivery.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
