WilkinGuttenplan, established in 1983, is a mid-sized accounting and advisory firm serving New Jersey and New York City. This Audit Associate role offers hands-on auditing experience, coaching from our Audit team, and opportunities to grow within a supportive environment.

We seek an Audit Associate, entry level or with relevant experience, to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience and contribute to exceptional client service while working independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 0–3 years of public accounting audit experience, or 1–3 years in private accounting.
• Experience with journal entries and general ledgers; understanding of financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; familiarity with ProSystems or CCH is a plus.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Experience with condominium/cooperative clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and services to condominium/cooperative clients.
• Create workpapers, reports, and supporting documentation for the audit process.
• Prepare financial statements and footnotes.
• Handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Maintain and improve client relationships through exceptional service.
• Excel in a dynamic NY/NJ condo/cooperative environment, serving multiple clients.
• Collaborate in a team environment and also work independently.
