Job summary

Sherwood Staffing Partners is seeking an Audit Associate or Audit Senior in Monroe Township, NJ, offering a base salary range of $60K–$110K with bonus and a 401(k) match. The firm welcomes 1–5 years of audit experience and supports CPA pursuit.

You will audit condo associations and HOAs, and collaborate closely with partners and clients onsite. You'll test controls, prepare workpapers and financial statements, and supervise junior staff as a senior.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• A CPA license, or progress toward one, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits, reviews and compilations, mostly for condo associations and HOAs.
• Test cash, reserve funds, assessments receivable, expenses and internal controls.
• Prepare workpapers and financial statements.
• Work directly with property managers and association boards.
• Seniors will run engagements day to day, supervise and train associates, and work closely with partners on client communication.
• Associates will build a strong audit foundation with hands-on work on every part of the engagement.

About the Firm

Our client is a small, well-established CPA firm in Monroe Township, NJ. Most of their clients are condominium associations, homeowners associations and other community ownership groups, and they're growing the audit team to keep up with demand. Because the firm is small, you'll work closely with the partners, see engagements from planning through final report, and the partners will see your work.

The Opportunity

The firm is hiring Audit Associates and Audit Seniors with 1 to 5 years of experience. You don't need condo or HOA experience. If you've done audit work in any industry, your skills will carry over and the firm will teach you the rest.

What You'll Do
