Job summary

BPM in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an Assurance Associate I to join a team of audit experts. You will gain exposure to industries including Blockchain, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Nonprofit while developing your audit skills.

You will be supported by a Coach and Buddy as you progress toward CPA licensure, with a focus on collaboration, learning, and delivering high-quality work for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program)
• Foundational accounting knowledge (GAAP and GAAS)
• Must have earned enough units (or be close) to sit for the CPA exam
• Interest in pursuing CPA licensure and educational requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication with teamwork and quality focus
• Candidates who are compassionate, proactive, authentic, driven and resilient are preferred

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform audit procedures to assess accuracy and completeness of financial statements
• Assist in evaluating internal controls and work with the team to deliver quality results
• Build client relationships, respond to inquiries, and proactively improve service
• Analyze financial statements to identify misstatements and take corrective actions
• Review client records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Continue developing auditing knowledge through training and CPA pathway
