Job summary

BPM is seeking an Assurance Associate I to join our audit team in San Francisco, gaining exposure to diverse industries including Blockchain, Financial Services, Real Estate, and Nonprofit. You’ll work with a personal Coach and Buddy, grow in audit, and prepare for CPA licensure while delivering quality results.

You will learn audit procedures, test internal controls, build client relationships, and develop your accounting expertise with ongoing training and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP/GAAS is expected.
• Pursuing CPA licensure or able to sit for the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform audit procedures to assess accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Evaluate and test internal control systems in collaboration with team members.
• Build relationships with clients and respond to inquiries to better serve audit needs.
• Analyze financial statements and disclosures to identify misstatements and take corrective actions.
• Continuously develop auditing knowledge through training and CPA-related resources.
