Job summary

Weaver's Financial Services Audit practice is seeking an Associate at the entry level to perform audit procedures and support engagements. The ideal candidate has 0-1+ years of public accounting or related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with CPA candidacy encouraged.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
CPA candidate status is required or expected.
0-1+ years of public accounting or related experience.
Basic familiarity with GAAP and GAAS.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Perform audit procedures as assigned on engagements and help complete engagements.
Work closely with Senior Associates and Managers to identify and resolve issues.
Develop effective work paper techniques for audits.
Assist with financial statement preparation.
Develop a plan for personal development with group leader.
