Job summary

PwC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Financial Statement Audit Associate to support client service work within our Assurance practice. You will review financial statements, perform testing, and document workpapers while learning auditing methodologies and accounting standards.

You'll assist with data analysis, issue tracking, and research, while collaborating with senior team members and applying AI-enabled tools to organize work and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam in your state of employment.
• Entry-level role suitable for those finishing final year of study.

Responsibilities

• Supporting external audit procedures by reviewing financial statements, trial balances, and supporting documentation
• Testing account balances, journal entries, and internal controls using auditing methodologies and GAAS
• Analyzing financial data, identifying anomalies, and documenting issues for review by senior team members
• Gathering, organizing, and reconciling client-provided information to validate accuracy and completeness
• Preparing audit workpapers and process documentation in alignment with accounting policies and GAAP
• Applying technical accounting knowledge to evaluate transactions, disclosures, and financial reporting treatment
• Monitoring financial trends and using data analysis to inform audit procedures and risk identification
• Using digital tools and AI-enabled platforms to organize work, review information, and support audit tasks
