Job summary

Kreston Reeves LLP is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join our growing Audit team. Take ownership of a portfolio of audit clients, building trusted relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience.

You will lead audits from planning through to completion, review complex work including consolidations, and coach junior staff while partnering with Partners to deliver value and drive growth.

Qualifications

• Ownership of a portfolio of audit clients and delivering a high-quality client experience.
• Plan, prioritise and oversee audit assignments from start to finish within budget.
• Lead and develop audit staff and provide guidance on challenging assignments.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent credential required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of audit clients, managing relationships and delivering a high-quality client experience.
• Plan, prioritise and oversee audit assignments from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and in line with quality standards.
• Review and deliver complex audit work, including consolidations and technical areas, resolving issues and guiding on challenging assignments.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, leading audit planning and close meetings, and providing proactive value-add advice.
• Collaborate with Partners and colleagues to deliver joined-up client service and identify opportunities to introduce additional services.
• Lead, coach and develop Audit Seniors, Semi Seniors and Assistants with clear direction and feedback.
• Monitor workflow, budgets, billing and audit file completion, ensuring deadlines and compliance.
• Support growth through business development, client meetings and thought leadership where appropriate.
• Champion continuous improvement to enhance audit efficiency and processes.

About The Role

• Take ownership of a portfolio of audit clients, managing relationships and delivering a high-quality client experience while identifying opportunities to support their ongoing growth and success.
• Plan, prioritise and oversee audit assignments from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, within budget and in line with Kreston Reeves' quality standards.
• Review and deliver complex audit work, including consolidations and technical audit areas, while resolving issues and providing guidance on more challenging assignments.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication, leading audit planning and close meetings, and providing proactive advice that adds value beyond the audit.
• Work collaboratively with Partners and colleagues across the firm to deliver joined-up client service and identify opportunities to introduce additional Kreston Reeves services.
• Lead, coach and develop Audit Seniors, Semi Seniors and Assistants, providing clear direction, ongoing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
• Monitor workflow, budgets, billing and audit file completion, ensuring deadlines are met, compliance requirements are maintained and work is completed to the highest professional standards.
• Support the continued growth of the Audit team by contributing to business development activities, networking, client meetings, presentations and thought leadership where appropriate.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance audit efficiency, improve processes and deliver exceptional client service.
