SRL Total Source, LLC is seeking a Certified Audiology Technician to support the Hearing Conservation CAOHC Program at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, NY. Under the supervision of a licensed audiologist when required, you will perform hearing conservation testing, patient education, and administrative support.

This full-time temporary role runs October 2026 through January 2027, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

SRL Total Source, LLC is seeking an Audiology Technician, a Certified Hearing Conservation Technician to support the Hearing Conservation CAOHC Program at Keller Army Community Hospital (KACH), West Point, New York.

Working under established Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) policies and the supervision of a licensed audiologist when required, you will perform hearing conservation testing, hearing protection services, patient education, and administrative support while ensuring compliance with all DoD, Army, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Hearing Conservation Technician performs a wide range of clinical and administrative duties in support of the Army Hearing Conservation Program, including but not limited to:

Hearing Conservation Program

Conduct computerized and manual audiometric testing using the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Hearing Conservation (DOEHRS-HC).

Perform hearing examinations supporting:

• Annual hearing conservation monitoring
• Flight physicals
• Deployment and redeployment processing
• Readiness evaluations
• Ensure all hearing examinations are completed accurately and documented in accordance with Army regulations.

Clinical Support

• Fit Army-approved hearing protection devices and provide individualized instruction on proper insertion, care, maintenance, and replacement.
• Perform hearing protection fit-check assessments.
• Conduct hearing aid electroacoustic measurements and verification assessments.
• Assist the supervising audiologist with:
  • Hearing aid candidacy evaluations
  • Hearing aid fittings and patient counseling
  • Tinnitus assessment and management
  • Auditory processing evaluations
  • Rehabilitation counseling and training
  • Fitness-for-duty examinations
  • Pure-tone and speech audiometry
  • Acoustic immittance and acoustic reflex testing
  • Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing
  • Speech-in-noise evaluations

A Typical Day

Each day begins by preparing the audiology clinic, verifying equipment readiness, and reviewing the day's patient schedule. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with Soldiers, retirees, civilian employees, and beneficiaries by conducting hearing conservation examinations, fitting hearing protection devices, educating patients on hearing preservation, and documenting results within DOEHRS-HC.

You'll collaborate with audiologists, occupational health personnel, and military leadership to support medical readiness while ensuring every patient receives exceptional care and service. Before the day ends, you'll reconcile documentation, prepare equipment for the next clinic, and ensure all follow-up actions have been completed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) Certification (Required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred)
• Minimum one year of experience performing occupational hearing conservation testing or audiometric testing (military or civilian healthcare experience preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required background investigations and installation access credentials
• Ability to pass a drug test
