HearingLife in Wayne, NJ is seeking an Audiology extern to gain hands-on experience under expert supervision. You will participate in comprehensive evaluations, fittings, and patient education while collaborating with a nationwide extern network.

This externship emphasizes mentorship, ongoing workshops, and potential future full-time opportunities within HearingLife, with access to cutting-edge equipment and a strong focus on community impact.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.
• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation.
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments.
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids.
• Earmold impressions.
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on learning with audiologists across evaluations and patient engagement.
• Virtual peer interaction with externs nationwide to strengthen clinical skills.
• Monthly workshops and trainer meetings for ongoing growth.

Looking to kick-start your career in audiology with hands-on experience and unparalleled mentorship? HearingLife, a premiere national hearing care company, is seeking passionate Audiology Doctoral Students for externship positions across the country.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
• Continuous Growth: Thrive in an environment of learning and development by participating in monthly manufacturer-lead workshops or meet one-on-one with trainers for individualized learning.
