Job summary

HearingLife in Somerset, NJ offers an Audiology externship for Doctoral students to gain hands-on experience under mentorship, including evaluations, patient engagement, and fitting education. Clinics may include pediatric and vestibular testing.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands‑On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution‑oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.


• Peer interaction: You’ll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.


• Appointment documentation


• Lead selection, fitting, follow‑up, and service appointments


• Ordering/servicing hearing aids


• Earmold impressions


• Conduct follow up calls with patients.


• Participate in clinic/company meetings.


• Any task beneficial to your clinic
