Job summary

HearingLife in Sun City, AZ is seeking Audiology Doctoral students for externships across the country, offering hands-on mentorship from experienced audiologists.

The program provides access to evaluations, fittings, pediatric and vestibular testing opportunities, and virtual collaboration with externs nationwide. Many externs transition to full-time roles within HearingLife.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.
• Externship responsibilities include learning from preceptors, documenting appointments and patient care.
• Exposure to pediatric and vestibular testing may be offered.
• Collaborative nationwide extern network for mentorship and growth.

Salary range is $22-26/hr

Responsibilities

• - Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.


• - Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities:

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.


• Appointment documentation


• Lead selection, fitting, follow‑up, and service appointments


• Ordering/servicing hearing aids


• Earmold impressions


• Conduct follow up calls with patients.


• Participate in clinic/company meetings.


• Any task beneficial to your clinic
