Job summary

HearingLife in Cambridge, OH is offering an Audiology Externship for AuD students. This program provides hands-on experience, mentorship from licensed audiologists, and exposure to pediatric and vestibular testing across a national network of centers.

Externs gain practical experience in evaluations, patient engagement, and education, with opportunities to grow into full-time roles and participate in monthly workshops and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.
• Strong interest in hands-on clinical training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with comprehensive evaluations under supervision.
• Document appointments and follow-ups.
• Lead selection, fitting, and service of hearing aids as applicable.
• Order/maintain hearing aid devices and earmold impressions.
• Participate in clinic meetings and ongoing training.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids

• Any task beneficial to your clinic
